The casted giraffe arrives!           Nona and friend quickly begin to transform the giraffe into an okapi. 

 The horns of an okapi are added and the ears are enlarged.                    The head is positioned to "star gaze".                                     Glass eyes bring the okapi to life!

The magic and whimsy of the carousel will came alive with "Carousel Ponies on Ice" on street corners of Downtown Spokane.  Beginning November and lasting through March of 2007.  This was an art project benefiting the local Ronald McDonald House, which provides lodging to families and children in crisis thoughout the region.
